Town of Addison 2012 Clean Up Schedule

Saturdays, January 7, April 21, July 14 and October 13,  2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Town residents may bring tree brush, leaves, scrap iron, old metal appliances to
542 Main St., Allenton.  Additional fall dates may be added for leaf collection.

Town of Addison Recycling Program

Paper & Cardboard

Place papers in a brown paper grocery bag. Acceptable papers include:

• Junk mail
• Phone books
• Magazines
• File folders
• Newspaper
• Newspaper inserts
• Catalogs
• Boxboard (cereal/cake type boxes)

 Cardboard should be cut into 2’x3’ pieces, bundled or tied.
 No wax or plastic coated boxes, bathroom/diaper paper, gift wrap or dairy cartons.

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS CAN BE PLACED IN THE SAME CLEAR PLASTIC BAG WITH A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 30 GALLONS. ALL CONTAINERS ARE TO BE RINSED CLEAN AND ALL CAPS, COVERS AND RINGS REMOVED.

Plastics

• Any plastic container marked #1 through #2.
• No motor oil bottles, blue PVC water bottles, or plastic bags, or wide-mouth #2
  (e.g. butter, ice cream, cottage cheese containers).
• Labels do not need to be removed.

Aluminum

• Cans only, no foil, pie plates or pop tops.

Glass Containers

• Jars and bottles only.
• No ceramics or drinking glasses.
• Labels do not need to be removed.

Tin or Bi-Metal Containers

• Food containers only.
• Labels do not need to be removed.

Aerosol Containers

• Containers must be empty.
• Labels do not need to be removed.

Recycling pick-up is every other Tuesday. Have recycling at the curb by 6:45 a.m.

2012 Recycling Pick-up Dates

* Pick-up will be on Wednesday, because of a holiday during the week.
